  • Nurse Practitioner (Cecil County)

    UBCSS is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide medication management, nursing, case management, and clinical services to individuals and their families. These services would occur within the UBCSS facility and at designated community locations. Requirements of this position include timely submission of all authorizations prior to the delivery of clinical services and documentation of all clinical services within one (1) business day of delivery. Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Psychiatry specialty (CRNP-P) and/or Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Psychiatric Mental Health (APRN/PMH). Should also have a minimum of two (2) years prior mental health experience.

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric oversight of all clinical services provided by programs serving clients with more serious and persistent mental illness. This is a senior professional position with direct service and some administrative responsibilities. The Psychiatrist functions as an advanced clinical practitioner in the delivery of psychiatric care to patients and consumers. The Psychiatrist must possess very strong organizational skills, precise documentation and record-keeping skills, and the ability to work with diverse staff and varied program needs, extremely high levels of confidentiality and professionalism, good judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment. Minimum Requirements: Must be licensed to practice as a Psychiatrist in the State of Maryland. Child and Adult experience preferred.

Duties include providing integrated co-occurring treatment to caseload of clients and supervision of staff working towards co-occurring disorders certifications in two locations.     Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a part time (20 Hr) Office Cleaning staff person to perform office cleaning functions and supervise trainees at 2 Cecil County clinic offices. Duties include:Maintain offices in a sanitary and infection free condition; Operate mechanical cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and carpet shampooers; washing and cleaning of furnishings; disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials; schedule major quarterly tasks and needs to damp-dusts furniture, light fixtures, door jams and window sills; . Empty trash containers and wet-mop floors in all common areas and bathrooms as needed or at a minimum 2x weekly. Minimum of 1 year house or office cleaning experience , reliable and hardworking; Must have good interpersonal skills to get along with other people.


  • Healthy Home Nurse Care Manager - Part- Time (Cecil County)

    PT Health Home nurse (RN) needed to provide health home services in Cecil County. The Nurse provides oversight of the coordination of health home activities of UBCSS identified clients and provides oversight of the medical needs of the programís clients. Coordinates the health home treatment services with internal support such as Residential Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. In addition, coordinates treatment with PCPs and specialists as well as the pharmacies involved in the care of the programís clients. The population that this RN will work with are adults with a serious and persistent mental illness that are in treatment at UBCSS. Requirements of this position are the ability to work in a fast paced environment and exceptional organizational skills. Licensed or license eligible as a nurse by the State of Maryland.


  • Behavioral Health Therapist Based in Primary Care Office

    UBCSS is seeking a full time licensed therapist to work within a primary care setting to address behavioral health issues for a varied caseload of children, adolescents, and adults. Candidates must be able to work as part of a medical team to triage individuals, provide direct care, coordinate treatment with other professionals, and offer clinical consultations. Strong clinical skills are desired with a focus on short-term treatment interventions. Work experience within a medical setting is preferred.     The primary focus of the Residential Case Manager is to assist consumers by facilitating linkage to mental health, medical, social, financial, educational, and other support services. The candidate in this position will identify and provide appropriate treatment interventions to help consumers integrate effectively into community living. Some of the responsibilities include developing treatment goals with consumers, attending treatment team meetings, advocating on behalf of consumers with outside agencies and medical personnel, medication monitoring, and other duties as assigned. The candidate must have strong written, organizational and communication skills and know how to multitask efficiently. This is a fast paced environment and requires a person to be able to work well under pressure. Computer literacy and a good driving record is a must. Educational Requirements BA/BS in Social Services, Human Services or Psychology. Prior experience with Mental Health consumers preferred.

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a part time (24hrs/week) Mental Health Case Manager to assist clients with entitlements, initiation of mental health services and coordination of care in Cecil County. The primary focus of the Mental Health Case Manager/Intensive Case Manager is to provide community outreach and to assist participants and their families in obtaining the full range of needed services. The Mental Health Case Manager position will facilitate linkage to mental health, medical, social, financial, educational, housing and other support services. This position will work with the individual and their natural support systems to access services while maximizing strengths and respecting self-determination, encouraging the individual to actively participate in the management of their treatment. The MHCM staff person will provide linkage services for Meeting Ground/ Menís shelter participants, homeless persons, and persons being discharged from the local psychiatric hospital and detention center. Bachelorís Degree preferred or A High School Diploma is required with two (2) years experience in case management, community based outreach work and mental health assessments. A valid driverís license is also required.

  • Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist/Outpatient Therapist - Part-Time (20 Hours) (Havre De Grace)

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) seeking a half time Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to work with the child population. Position will provide clinical leadership and support to PRP counselors to ensure that clients receive the most appropriate and professional clinical care, support, and interventions possible within the system of services. The Rehabilitation Specialist will monitor PRP treatment service delivery and conduct trainings to ensure appropriate clinical interventions. They will be actively involved in oversight and review of Individualized Rehabilitation Planning (IRP) for PRP clients. The Rehabilitation Specialist will track and submit authorizations for PRP services. Conduct Needs Assessment meetings with families who have been referred from external mental health providers. The Rehabilitation Specialist will also conduct a monthly review of PRP counselorís documentation and clientís charts in order to monitor COMAR compliance. In addition candidate will carry a half time caseload working with children, adolescents and/or the adult population providing individual and family therapy in an outpatient clinic setting. Opportunities to run group therapy are also available. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team to coordinate care with our psychiatry staff, CMAs, rehabilitative counselors and administrative staff.
