- Office Assistant – Medical Office (Booth Street/Rte. 40) - Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services is seeking a part time medical office assistant to oversee and manage physician scheduling and call backs. This position requires coverage of our Booth Street and Rte. 40 location (covering Tuesday and Thursday at Rte. 40 and Wednesday at Booth St.) Candidates must have a High School diploma with prior medical office experience and willingness to work approximately six to eight hours on each of the above days. Candidate should also be proficient with the use of computers.
- IOP Counselor (Booth Street) - Bay Counseling & Support Services is seeking an IOP Counselor for the Booth Street location. The primary focus of this position is to provide remedial services directed toward reducing behavioral problems and maximizing the child’s ability to function adequately in the home, school, and community. All work is done under the supervision of the Program Manager for the Therapeutic Day Program. Primary tasks for the IOP Counselor include the modeling/teaching of social and behavioral skills that improve the child’s level of functioning, which takes place in both an academic and therapeutic setting. Candidates must have a High School diploma with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree. Two (2) years experience in face to face work with children/adolescents with behavioral/mental health problems. Must be computer literate.
- Therapist Adult Recovery (Booth Street) - Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services is seeking a full-time licensed mental health therapist to work with adult clients in Elkton MD. This individual will provide treatment coordination and clinical services to consumers using individual and group interventions. Requirements for this position are licensed mental health professional in the State of Maryland, LCSW-C, LCPC, LGSW,LGPC. Drug and Alcohol experience is preferred.
- Intake Referral Representative - UBCSS is seeking an Intake Referral Representative to coordinate the UBCSS referral process in order to facilitate the expeditious provision of mental health services to consumers and their families in the local community. This will include collecting referrals, obtaining initial authorizations from appropriate pay sources and scheduling initial appointments. A high school diploma is required with a minimum of two years experience working with emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and adults.
- Expanded Clinical Service Therapist and Counselors For Delaware - Upper Bay Counseling is seeking applicants for an Expanded Clinical Service Therapist and Counselor for Delaware. The Therapist and Counselor will provide expanded clinical service to approved program clients as needed after routine work schedule with administrative approval. Must be within 5% of expected target number to be eligible. Reimbursement is a percentage of paid/authorized services in bonus.
For Therapist a Delaware Mental Health professional license (LCSW, LCPC or Ph.D) is required. Insurance eligibility preferred for Therapist.
- Outpatient Therapist (Independent Contractor)- Rt. 40, Elkton - UBCSS is seeking a licensed therapist to work as an independent contractor to provide case management and clinical services using individual, family and group interventions in treatment of sexual offenders.
Experience working with sexual offenders is a plus and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Requirements: MD licensure, LCSW-C, LCPC or Psychologist.
- Outpatient Therapist - Route 40 (Full Time) - UBCSS is seeking a full time licensed therapist to provide case management and clinical services using individual, family and group interventions. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Requirements: MD licensure, LCSW-C, LCPC or Psychologist. A Maryland Mental Health professional license (LCSW-C, LCPC, PhD) is required.
- Residential Behavior Assistant - UBCSS is seeking Residential Behavior Assistant’s to work a flexible schedule (PRN) as needed for the Sunrise Residential Rehab Program. This candidate will provide daily identification/monitoring of residential houses for safety and cleanliness and teach appropriate hygiene skills when needed. This candidate will also assist with meal planning and preparation, implementation of recreation, social and individual community outings to meet residential needs. The person in this position will have use of agency vehicles to accompany residents to appointments in the community. Some appointments may warrant driving on the highway, distances may vary. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are mandatory.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one (1) year of experience in a mental health field, residential experience preferred. Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on emotional maturity needed. Good written and oral communication skills are necessary. This position requires the candidate to have the ability to be organized, multitask, and work well under pressure. Computer literacy is a must!
- Van Driver - Part-Time (Havre de Grace) - The Van driver Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (works 24 hrs per week) requires a CDL license to transport up to 22 passengers in a minibus.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. You will not be considered without the CDL license
- Van Driver - Part-Time (Elkton) - The Van driver (works 25 - 30 hrs per week) requires a CDL license to transport up to 22 passengers in a minibus.
Hours are 7:00am to 9:30am then 12:00 noon to 2:30pm
This position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. You will not be considered without the CDL license.
- Therapist Rt. 40 (2 Openings) - Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services, Inc. is seeking two therapists.
Therapist F/T:
This individual will provide treatment coordination and clinical services to consumers using individual family and group interventions. Requirements for this position are LCSW-C or Psychologist and a minimum of two years experience providing mental health services.
Therapist P/T (24 hours):
This individual will provide case management and clinical services to consumers using individual family and group interventions. Requirements for this position are Licensed mental health professional in the State of Maryland, LCSW-C, LCPC or Psychologist and a minimum of two years experience providing mental health services.
- Clinical Director - Upper Bay Counseling is seeking a Clinical Director to provide and direct the delivery of clinical services in concert with established standards and practice guidelines. The Clinical Director will serve as a consultant to UBCSS leadership and staff on clinical issues. The Clinical Director will be responsible for
providing the leadership and vision needed to provide Clinical Accountability (quality programming, supervision and treatment) within UBCSS’ standards. Minimum requirement’s are a Licensed Mental Health Professional in the State of Maryland Psychologist, LCPC or LCSW-C. Minimum of 8 years experience in management of human service program, with progressive responsibility.

- Psychiatrist - Upper Bay Counseling is seeking a Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric oversight of all clinical services provided by programs serving clients with more serious and persistent mental illness. This is a senior professional position with direct service and some administrative responsibilities. The Psychiatrist functions as an advanced clinical practitioner in the delivery of psychiatric care to patients and consumers. The Psychiatrist must possess very strong organizational skills, precise documentation and record-keeping skills, an ability to work with a diverse staff and varied program needs, extremely high levels of confidentiality and professionalism, good judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment. Must be licensed to practice as a psychiatrist in the State of Maryland.
- Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist (Havre De Grace) - UBCSS is seeking applicants for an Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist to work at our Havre De Grace location. The IOP Therapist provides direct clinical services to children, adolescents and their families using individual, family and group interventions. This position provides the majority of services to adolescents in an alternative education setting who exhibit severe emotional and behavioral symptoms. This position requires timely submission of all authorizations prior to the delivery of clinical services and documentation of all clinical services within two business days of delivery. Extremely high levels of confidentiality, professionalism, good judgment and problem solving skills are required. A Maryland Mental Health professional license (LCSW-C, LCPC, Ph.D) is required. License eligible may be considered with exceptional work experience and recommendations.
- School Based Therapist (Havre de Grace) - UBCSS is seeking a full time licensed school based therapist to work with school aged children and adolescents. Applicants should be energetic, self-directed and flexible. Must have experience with group therapy. This is a full time, school based position which means the position is full time for ten months during the regular school year and part time in the summer requiring at least 2 days per week. The position begins August 2010. Requirements: MD licensure, LCSW-C or LCPC, must be fully licensed.
- Program Manager (Booth Street) - Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services is seeking a Program Manager. This is a middle management position charged with direct clinical and administrative management of the Program. The position provides direct supervision to service providers and administrative staff in the Program. The position is also responsible for provision of direct services to a small caseload. The Program Manager will participate in developing budget requests in collaboration with the Division Manager. The Program Manager will also assume primary responsibility for monitoring performance of the program according to projected revenues and expenses according to budget allocations. Will analyze variances and make timely reports to the Division Manager. Will collaborate with the Division Manager in identifying and initiating cost-saving strategies.

- Certified Medical Assistant - UBCSS is seeking a Part-time Certified Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant is needed for our growing Outpatient site at Havre de Grace. The CMA will oversee and manage physician scheduling, call backs and medication cabinets. The CMA will also maintain mediation cabinets for two other locations at Booth Street and Route 40. Candidate must have prior mental health experience and must be a Certified Medical Assistant by the State of Maryland.
