  • Psychiatrist Child/Adult

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric oversight of all clinical services provided by programs serving clients with more serious and persistent mental illness. This is a senior professional position with direct service and some administrative responsibilities. The Psychiatrist functions as an advanced clinical practitioner in the delivery of psychiatric care to patients and consumers. The Psychiatrist must possess very strong organizational skills, precise documentation and record-keeping skills, and the ability to work with diverse staff and varied program needs, extremely high levels of confidentiality and professionalism, good judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment. Minimum Requirements: Must be licensed to practice as a Psychiatrist in the State of Maryland. Child and Adult experience preferred.

  • Residential Behavioral Assistants (2)- Full-Time 7am to 3 pm and 3 pm to 11 pm -various days incl weekends -Cecil Co

    The primary focus of the Operations Assistant is to oversee and perform key administrative duties and coordination of operational areas including program service performance trends, fleet logistics and supplies purchasing. Reporting to the COO, the individual in this position will utilize their computer, analytical and organizational skills to recommend opportunities and assist in developing and maintaining controls for efficiencies and cost savings throughout the organization. This position’s duties require preparation and trending of variance data as needed including but not limited to program and department performance data, GPS and safety inspection data, client incident and complaint data to ensure timeliness and efficiency. Education: Minimum of a HS Diploma, an Associate Degree preferred. Experience: (2) years administrative experience in a outpatient healthcare or office setting; Extensive knowledge and experienced in EXCEL and ability to track and analyze data and develop reports; Experience in Microsoft Office; Understanding of vehicle route and fleet logistics planning and repair coordination, a plus

  • Overnight Residential Behavioral Assistant - Full-Time 11 pm to 7 am + various weekends and nolidays(Cecil County)

    The primary focus of the Overnight Residential Behavioral Assistant (RBA) is to provide for the safety and welfare of clients in their assigned residences during overnight hours. The candidate for this position MUST have the ability to stay awake and alert throughout the entire shift. This candidate may need to travel throughout the night to multiple apartments within a 1 mile radius. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to; hourly room checks, inspection of housing units for safety and cleanliness, updating the electronic health record, medication monitoring, ER visits, and all other duties as assigned. The Overnight RBA candidate will also participate in weekly team meetings that occur outside of their scheduled shift. A valid driver’s license is needed. A good driving record is a must! Candidates must have a High School diploma and at least one (1) year of experience in the mental health, human services or social services field. Residential experience preferred. Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on emotional maturity needed. Good written and oral communication skills are necessary. Computer literacy is a must!

  • Maintenance Assistant (Cecil and Harford Counties) - Full-Time

    The Maintenance Assistant performs the maintenance activities of the agency. All work is done under the direction of the Building and Facilities Manager. Primary tasks are performed to ensure that the physical grounds and vehicles are in good repair and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. This position is considered to be ‘essential personnel’ and, thus, may be required to work on days when the agency is closed and/or work hours different than the regular schedule, as needed. High School Diploma. 3 – 6 months maintenance experience.A valid driver’s license is required. Certifications must be maintained and updates/changes in course requirements must be adopted positively.

  • Medical Records Clerk (Cecil and Harford Counties) - Part-Time

  • PRP Counselor Full-time Havre de Grace and Elkton

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a full time Adult PRP Counselor. The PRP Counselor provides supportive, individualized psychiatric rehabilitation services for adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. The PRP Counselor works within a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs develop professional and flexible ways to meet client needs, and implements interventions to assist clients in achieving their individualized rehabilitation goals. The PRP Counselor will provide on and off-site (community based) rehabilitative groups, support and activities related directly to client rehabilitation goals in accordance with COMAR regulations. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team to coordinate care with our psychiatry staff, CMAs, psychotherapists, and administrative staff. Applicants should be organized, able to use an electronic medical health record, have strong computer skills, and be able to work independently. Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required. A Bachelor’s Degree and experience working with adults with a serious and persistent mental illness is preferred.

  • Community Support Specialist (Part-Time 24 hours a week) Elkton

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a part time (24hrs/week) Community Support Specialist to assist clients with entitlements, initiation of mental health services and coordination of care in Cecil County. The primary focus of the Community Support Specialist is to provide community outreach and to assist participants and their families in obtaining the full range of needed services. The Community Support Specialist position will facilitate linkage to mental health, medical, social, financial, educational, housing and other support services. This position will work with the individual and their natural support systems to access services while maximizing strengths and respecting self-determination, encouraging the individual to actively participate in the management of their treatment. The MHCM staff person will provide linkage services for Meeting Ground/ Men’s shelter participants, homeless persons, and persons being discharged from the local psychiatric hospital and detention center. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or A High School Diploma is required with two (2) years experience in case management, community based outreach work and mental health assessments. A valid driver’s license is also required.

  • PRP Coordionatror (Part-Time 20 hours a week) Elkton-Rt. 40 Office

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a part time PRP coordinator. The PRP Coordinator provides support to therapists in making referrals to both adult and child PRP programs. The PRP coordinator works within a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs develop professional and flexible ways to meet client needs, and implements interventions to assist clients in achieving their individualized rehabilitation goals. The PRP Coordinator will complete PRP needs assessments and the intake process for the appropriate PRP program. This position will assist with the community marketing of these programs to include DSS, shelters, schools etc. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team to coordinate care with our psychiatry staff, counselors, psychotherapists, and administrative staff. Applicants should be organized, able to use an electronic medical health record, have strong computer skills, and be able to work independently. Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required. A Bachelor’s Degree and experience working with adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. Knowledge of COMAR regulations is required. Candidates must have PRP experience to include completing the needs assessments. Candidates must have community contacts to facilitate the marketing of this position.

  • Child PRP Counselor (Part-Time 15 hours a week) Harford County

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking a full time PRP Counselor to provide supportive, individualized psychiatric rehabilitation services for children ages 6-18 y/o. Services are provided in the community, mostly after school to include evenings. The counselor will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess client needs, develop professional and flexible ways to meet client needs, and implement interventions to assist participants in achieving their individualized rehabilitation goals. The position requires a Bachelors degree in the Human Services field and a valid driver’s license. Experience in the healthcare or educational environment is preferred.

  • Cleaning Staff (2) (Part-Time 5:00 - 8:30 pm Tues-Thurs & some weekends) Cecil &Harford Counties

    Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) is seeking 2 part time cleaning staff one to clean the Booth and Rt.40 offices and one for cleaning the Havre de Grace office. The position will work 15 hours a week and hours may vary. These positions will be responsible for cleaning the bathrooms, office spaces and common areas of the Booth and Rt.40 Office. Cleaning experience preferred. Commitment and dedication are essential. High school diploma desirable.
