This 22-foot Regal Runabout was offered as the
hole-in-one prize this year.
No one was fortunate enough to win it.
Dr. Rich Bayer, CEO, Offers Thanks to All Who Participated
On May 19, 2006, Upper Bay Counseling and Support
Services held its Third Annual Benefit Golf Tournament, and we enjoyed
record attendance. Our theme this year was, “Golfing to Help Others,”
and 72 golfers did just that. They made donations to our organization in
order to play.
In addition, I want to thank the many individuals who
helped make this event possible. First, I extend a special thanks to J.
Scott Sturgill, our 2006 Golf Tournament Chairperson and member of our Board
of Directors. Second, I thank Green Contracting Company of Baltimore for
being our Tournament Sponsor this year.
I’d like to give special mention as well to our
yearlong corporate sponsors. They are: First National Bank of North East,
Digital Office Solutions, Mercantile County Bank, Kevin W. Jones, Inc,
People's Bank of Elkton, Accent Printing, Elkton Moose Lodge #851, and
Crouse Brothers, Inc.
Also a long list of tee sponsors contributed to our
success this year. These sponsors included A&A Mobile Home Sales, Aberdeen
Proving Ground Federal Credit Union, American Home & Hardware, Dr, Robert
and Mrs Biggs, Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Cecil Community College,
Cecilton Lions Charities, Inc., City Pharmacy, Debbie DiVirgilio – Resource
Development Consultant, “Elect Mark Guns for Delegate,” Elkton Florist, EXiT
Reality, Façade Technology, Gary Simpers Automotive, Harford Bank,
Hentkowski, Inc., “Janney for Sheriff,” Jim Racine, John K. Burkley Company,
Law Offices of W.M. Bruce Hemphill, Lyon’s Pharmacy, McCrone, Inc., State
Farm – Karen Michaels, State Farm – Todd Stewart, “Sutton for Sheriff,” and
Union Hospital.
Finally I extend my deep appreciation to all
individuals, families, and companies who donated their time as well as food
and beverages, prizes and gifts, and items for the silent auction.
So, to all who participated, I thank you for helping
Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services. Your thoughtful contributions
will support our community mental health programs, which in turn will
benefit the local residents we serve.
Signed,
Rich Bayer, Ph.D., CEO
