Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services Holds Special Event to Honor Its Volunteers

On Thursday morning, May 25, Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services (UBCSS) held a “volunteer recognition breakfast” to honor those who offer their time and energy to the organization. Keynote speaker, Mrs. Jean Moran, Director of Volunteer Services and Lifeline Program Manager at Union Hospital, expressed her deep gratitude for volunteers.

She described the valuable work that volunteers provide locally for healthcare service organizations.

The breakfast was held at Elkton Arts Center, which was featuring the ninth annual Expressions of Healing exhibit. This exhibit displayed artwork by clients of Upper Bay Counseling.

More than 30 people attended the special event, all of whom have volunteered their services at UBCSS during the past year. The theme for the day was “Thank You for Helping Us Grow,” and colorful, potted flowers were given to participants.
